Teddy bear chocolate shortbread cookies

ingredients:


*1 cup all-purpose flour
*2 tablespoons cocoa powder
*1/4 cup sugar
*1/4 teaspoon salt
*1 stick unsalted, chilled butter (cut into cubes)
*1 teaspoon vanilla extract
*12 almonds


making:

1- In a large bowl, add the flour, cocoa powder, sugar and salt, and whisk to combine. Add the butter. Using your fingers, work the dough into the dry ingredients until it resembles the size of peas.

2- On a lightly floured work surface, form dough into disk. Cover with plastic wrap and chill for 10 minutes.

3- Preheat oven to 175ºC.

4- Uncover the dough and place on a lightly floured work surface. Using a rolling pin, roll out dough to 1/4-inch thickness. Using a bear-shaped cookie cutter, cut out cookies and place on a baking sheet, about 1 inch apart.  Using a pin, make the eyes and nose of the bear. Place the almond and carefully wrap the bear's arms around the almond. Use leftover dough to make a small ball for the tail. Bake for 10-15 minutes.
